You should have made it multiple choice.

No vote, I just prefer a manual.

I have an automatic solely because in my town there is a lot of city driving and a manual is not fun in stop & go... Nothing like a manual though. (I voted auto)

Manuals are more fun for sports cars and more practical for towing rigs, but for the rest of vehicles that are daily drivers, it's just preference. I voted manual though!

I have owned my first automatic now for the past 5 years. I have been legally driving now for 32 years. There are days that I miss it, but very few.

I used to prefer a manual but the older I get the more my knee doesn't like working the clutch. I gave up rowing gears years ago and I really don't miss it at all.

Definitely a manual for a sports car but for trucks or daily drivers I like autos.

I voted they are more fun to drive. I would never have a manual in my truck but I'm looking at buying a mustang and it must be manual.

No computer can down shift into second exactly when you want it when your screaming around a turn. Or smoke the tires if you wanted to drift around a turn say (well they can but not as easily as you could). Just gives you a whole other realm of control on a sports vehicle.

Do you find it strange than a lot of the Automatics now offer a manual shift mode? I still use a clutch. The company I drive for has manuals. Got rid of the autos.
