found in bottom of pan

HI guys, new guy here looking for a little help.

Bought my 1st Ford truck yesterday. It a 2001, F150 Quad cab. 5.4 Triton, Automatic Trans.

Been changing all the fluids and filters today. When I pulled the trans pan I found this in the bottom. Not ture where it goes. Sort of hard looking up into the bottom of the trans.

Here is a picture. If anyone knows where this go and if i can reinstall it that would be great.

Trans shutters alot no medel in the pan which was reassuring. I will be getting it rebuilt later just want to get it driving good for now.

You should try reading the sticky post at the top of the forum. If you can't find it try this link:
