E4OD to 4R100?!?!?!

Ok so I've been doing some reading on the E4OD and 4R100. What I've seen is they are they are the same but the 4R100 is stronger. I have a 93 F150 5.0 and for the cost of an E4OD I can get a 4R100 I want to swap in the 4r100. WILL THE 4R100 JUST GO IN WHAT DO I NEED TO DO THE SWAP?

I don't think this will work in your truck. The 4R100 was never made with the small block bolt pattern that a 5.0L engine has. Bellhousings are not removeable on the E4OD or 4R100, so you can't swap them. I suppose someone could make an adapter, but that's not going to be cheap. Also, an adapter will move the trans back so you'll need to move the rear crossmember and shorten the driveshaft. If it's a 4x4 you'll also need to lengthen the front driveshaft.

4r100 is not such a good stuff as you are thinking of it i would say that you must prefer the other one. Its useless to invest your money in 4r100
