Hello all. I have the engine pulled from my old 98 here . Pulling any goodies and parts before she hits the scrap yard...I would like to save the tranny .It shifts well and I had the converter rebuilt not long ago..
In reading I learned I needed to pull the torsion bar crossmember to get the transfer case out...
After reading all the horror stories and trying myself.., I am wondering if I cant just pull the tranny and try to leave the transfer case behind some how since the engine is out? Just a thought before i start soaking, air hammering and cutting up torsion bars...
