That would have to be a "holy sh*t, zombies are chasing us..." kind of emergency.

For transmission fluid, whatever I can readily find. It's almost always Valvoline or Castrol. If I'm at NAPA, I buy their house brand, which is made by Valvoline.

Mercon V is expensive enough as it is. That's why I haven't used Mobil1 ATF.

For engine oil, I use Mobil1 EP in my vehicles. It's reasonably priced at Wal-Mart in 5-quart jugs.

A few years ago, Valvoline had Mercon V, labeled as "full synthetic". I think this was a labeling problem, as you can see, the Mercon V without the "full synthetic" label is the same P/N:

I just noticed that Castrol Mercon V is licensed from Ford, Valvoline Mercon V is not!

Good catch. The last time I used the Valvoline Mercon V in anything was 2005, and I don't have that vehicle anymore. Looks like I'm down to Castrol for my Mercon V needs. No big deal since it was always the more readily available stuff for me.

Ahh, not really. It's just my opinion after seeing it REALLY work over over over again. Miles upon miles etc... Doesn't matter to me what the bill board readers think or say, since they don't actually use the stuff, how could they know?

I trust my findings more than anything of course, and trust in others (user's) whom have spent the time with the product for a proper evaluation. I'm not the only out there that this fluid has done wonders for. Just one of them.

For most, there's no fun in deceiving people whom contribute to a great forum.

For very few others, it's they're way of life. If you want to call it that.
