P2106 and p0731!!!!

I was mudding last night and got stuck tryin to pull out a Chevy. While I was pulling him out I noticed that my o/d light started flashing and the wrench light came on and a trans fault code came up. Finally got out and went to drive home and notice that while i was in 4 low I wouldn't move so I kicked it into D and she was moving on the highway I noticed that I was accelerating normally and it took a while to shift. At 55 it was cruising at a high RPM of about 2300. Eventually it stops lagging and let's me get up to 55 just fine. Seems like first is messed up. Thinking bout checking shift solenoid and connectors and cleaning TB for p2106. Hoping the 2 are related. Any help from y'all would be much appreciated

Without checking what codes are stored in the PCM you're just wasting your time trying to fix it. Get the codes read (and not at an auto parts store - they can't do it) and then you'll know where to start.

p2106 is throttle actuator controller code, and p0731 is 1st gear ratio incorrect. I also have a spectre cold air intake, jet throttle body spacer, edge evo programmer. Don't know if any of those could be a problem. I was running the programmer on level 1, just switched it back to stock. I think the truck went into limp mode which disables first gear.

1. Throw the TB spacer away, all it does is make noise and does nothing positive.

2. Running canned tunes with an aftermarket intake is a no-no unless the tune is for that specific intake. Put the stock intake back on or get a custom tune or leave the tune stock.

3. What YEAR and ENGINE is your truck?

Kinda sounds like you cooked the tranny - it's probably time for a rebuild.
