i'm wanting to turn my f-150 from a auto to a manual what all do i need

 

just sell it and buy a manual equipped truck

 

Which engine do you have?

 

its a 4.6

 

You might be able to do it if you can find a M5OD-R2 out of a 97-03 4.6, that's the only one that would bolt up to the bellhousing. However, how are you going to handle the electronics? The PCM is going to go nuts when it doesn't see the auto tranny any more, and there are *NO* manual PCM's for a 4.6 with electronic throttle. The only 04+ manuals were in the 4.2 V6 trucks.

 

Then there is the whole clutch thing to deal with in addition the the tranny.

 

The auto ECM can be tuned for the manual trans, but not vice-versa...
