4r70w line size???
OK I have been trying to get a definite answer but no luck so far.. My truck is an 01 screw 5.4 w/ the 4r70w. I am about to order a manifold to tap into the outlet line for my temp gauge. Are my lines 5/16 or 3/8? I have heard both answers.. Thanks!

3/8" on my '99 w/ 4.2 (probably the same on your truck).
The easiest way to check is to get 3/8 and 5/16 open end wrenches, and see which fits tightly over the line.
