transmission leak -- what kind of seal should I use?

I have a small hole in one of the narrow transmission lines, right in the bend of the line. I applied some cheap gas tank leak seal and it helped some but it doesn't seem to be holding very well. Is there something that would work better? Gorilla tape maybe?

Cut the line and get a piece of transmission rated hose.

Thanks, that points me in the right direction. I found this:

https://www.ehow.com/how_7191364_tra...se-repair.html

But that page says to replace the line as soon as possible even after doing this. Is it that important, or will the piece of hose hold indefinitely? It looks like a big deal to replace it... just climbing underneath the truck, I can't tell where the lines come from or end up.

I don't agree that is a temporary fix. Replacing the entire line is a major job, sometimes requiring removing the engine. Their fix uses metal tubing, not a hose.
