On the m5od transmission, what parts make up and work the synchronizer process? Someone told me that Ford no longer makes some parts for this transmission. If this is so, where can they be found? Thanks.

 

Just recently had the M5od drop out of my Ranger (1994) at 70MPH going north on I-75 in Ohio... I checked Ford Parts at the local dealer and it is cheaper by far to go to the junk yards and have them pull one from a wreck, you can see how many miles were on the vehicle and most will gaurentee the part for 30 days. My truck had 225,000 miles on its original tranny, now its got only 87,000.
