Ok, so I tore into my transmission thinking i was going to have to rebuild it. Once I got into it I noticed the clutches looked new still had writing on them but noticed the splines were gone in the direct clutch, not seeing any damage else where and the frictions looking good, i replaced the direct clutch put everything back together got it in the truck, and to my horror still no 3rd and 4th. What could it be? Wouldn't a solenoid throw a code?

seals = looked good
replaced the direct drum
