98 F150 with tranny leaking

I redid the heads on my 98 4.2 and also had a bad coolant leak where I had a freeze plug pop out in the back behind the transmission up on top of the block. I pulled back the transmission far enough to replace the freeze plug and replaced the main seal while i was there....now I have a transmission fluid leak from the drivers side up toward the top but there is no fluid when I pull the little black stopper on the bottom of the housing below the torque converter....what did I do wrong?? where is this fluid leaking from? any ideas...really didn't want to do the tranny pull again if I do not have to....never leaked before

thanks

Question 2nd the Question

I have 'no' shifting issues and coolant staying at same levels but a little fluid coming from the 'plastic' stopper in the same location as described by tumbleweed... I believe it is tranny fluid but drip is so intermittent. Weird.
