differences in 05 transmission and 02

A) 2002 F150 2wd 5.4 4r70w

b) 2005 f150 2wd 5.4

the cases are the same, bolts are the same, harnesses are the same EXCEPT for the newer model has 2 sensor plugs on the driver side.

i'm rebuilding mine again and found the newer trans for free just wondering if it would work for a week or 2.

yes it will work just don't be surprised if it shifts a little funny because of the valve body differences. Just leave the other plug unhooked. You may need to change the pig tail on the oss sensor.
