after 4 years and 35K miles of hard abuse on 3.55's my transmission bit the dust. i was getting on the highway and after i let off in second gear and got back on the gas it just revved. so 3rd gear and up is gone, but i was able to make it home with just 1st and 2nd.

time for a built transmission. so much for getting my gears installed this week..

who should i use for the rebuild?

out of curiousity is your OD light blinking? that really sucks but before you pull it id atleast go through basic things and/or pull the pan and see what you can see inside...idk if it could really be something else but ya never know...

 

luckily it gave out only 3 miles from the house. i didnt notice the OD light blinking. i want to pull the pan and drop the valve body to see if anything is in there. i dont have the time right now tho, and i figured it was on its way out anyway.

 

Another vote for Darrin- he knows his stuff man! as you prolly know.. Sucks about your tranny though, but when it's all new and awesome you'll forget all about the bad part! haha
