Transmission!!! 2010 screw platinum
2010 Platinum with 12k on it. Since just about day one I have felt like my truck is going to kill me. I depress the accelerator to the floor and it can take up to 4 or 5 seconds before my truck starts to accelerate. I'm sure you can imagine why this would be a problem while merging on to the highway. Sometimes the long delay is accompanied by a rev of the motor and a nice bang when it downshifts.
I'm sure I am not the only one with this issue yet my local dealer seems to not have a fix for it. I had a TSB for the tranny taken care of about 6 months ago but it didn't seem to help.
I am running a hypertech programmer but even with a stock program in engine and transmission it still seems to be a looming problem.
Can anyone cite a specific fix for this or something I can tell the dealer? Should I keep bringing it in and wasting time in hopes of a lemon law claim?

I'm sorry to hear that man! I'm not sure of the setup on the newer trucks, but it sounds like some type a throttle position sensor issue. Once the truck starts to accelerate does it smooth out? No codes or anything like that? For the price of a new platinum I'd be pounding down the door of your dealer every day until they made it right one way or another!
My 2010 FX4 does the exact same thing, but not to your described degree. Improved a bit when performed latest PCM/TCM recalibration. Mine really has a harsh downshift when cold. Ford cant seem to get the programming/control issues right on these 6R80's, but there have been almost no major mechanical problems. All you can do for now is keep going back to your dealer, and get them to keep clearing the TCM KAM. I'm sure Ford engineering will come up with something sooner or later. Good luck!

So the dealer is trying to tell me that my K&N FIPK is making it so they cannot diagnose the problem. Some sort of communication from the Ford Help Desk saying that the oiled filter could be messing up the VAS... I don't know wtf any of this has to do with the fact I push the gas pedal and the motor does NOTHING. AHHHHHHHHHHHH
If you want to get this resolved under warranty, you are going to have to return the vehicle to stock.
That's pretty cheeky even THINKING about a lemon law when you aftermarket mod the truck! You are on your own. I can only wonder what else you have done to it besides the K&N WASHOOBI and the Hypercrap programmer.........

Cheeky?
Wtf?
Washoobi?
what planet are you from?
Cheeky = arrogant.
WASHOOBI = Aftermarket warm air intake. Underhood air is usually a lot warmer than air from the fenderwell, where the stock intake gets it from. The term CAI (cold air intake) is very misleading.
Bottom line, you have a dealer that is not mod-friendly, and that's their decision. Ford will back them up if you try to push the issue. Your only option if you don't return it to stock is find a more mod-friendly dealer.

3 hours on a dyno and a much lighter wallet and my truck is all better! Drives like a vehicle should!!!! psyched.
I would describe in detail but I am tired and going to bed.
