Arrow Whining noise in Tranny while speeds above 20 mph

So I have read the forums and tried all the simple resolutions.

2005 FX4 109k
I have replaced all fluids in the tranny and filter. The yellow plunger was in there so that means I was first at 109k.
Also replaced rear end fluids again just to be safe.

I do all the regular maintenance on this truck and no problems at all yet..
Never been mudding in the truck or pulled trailers but have been off-road dirt roads.
So no real stress to the tranny.
I put it on jack stands and put it in gear and got under it and the noise is in the tranny.

I was told today that these ford have a known issue for the #9 bearings going bad in the tranny.

Any ideas???
I am in DFW (Richardson) and need a little guidance for a reputable tranny repair shop.

HamboneFX4: I also have an 05 FX4 with 84K on it and my tranny is making a similar noise. At first I thought it was my tires but I have since replaced the tires and noise is still there. when i changed my tranny fluid the other day the color was a little dark but otherwise showed no metal and not burnt.

Really pay attention to the noise and if it starts to whine around 50 mph then its only a matter of days before its gone. I had mine replaced at about 103,000 miles. It started off as a small whine for about a week. The next weekend before it went out the truck sounded like it had a supercharger in it.

truckncrew04, so what part of the tranny is making the noise? Mine is a constant whine, changes pitch slightly from a stop (more quiet) to 85mph slightly louder but not much. My fluid level is good but I know I have a leak on the tranny rear seal into the transfer case which once it fills up my tranny fluid level stays constant as well.

Exclamation

Well bit the bullet and it cost me $1595 at Trans Pro in Garland Tx referred there by the place I bought my truck.

They said it was the Bearings in the tranny and also replacing the clutch kit and torque converter.

CHANGE YOUR FLUIDS PEOPLE!! I am at fault as well.

The guy at the shop said that if customers would change the fluid he would have to close his shop! Cause 90% wouldn't have the issues.
I know without a doubt that a well oiled bearing doesn't fail.

More than likely you guys should just take it in because those needle bearings can come apart and become catastrophic to the tranny.

Sounds like you need a new tranny and seals. I say have it done before it blows up on ya.
