4R75W slipping
This is what my 05 just did to me and was my final straw with mine... only having 66K on it and the tranny going out after all the other issues I've had doesn't go over well with me.
In my case the it was bad drum clutches and a cracked valve body. If you do a google search as I did, you will find that the drum in these trucks are weak and this or a clip that is for the overdrive band is common to fall out and can cause this too - I hope in your case it is the clip, otherwise you will need to do a rebuild.
There is a good percentage of these trucks that have this issue with low mileage as I did, some even lower. Ford really needs to go back to the drawling board on how to make a better tranny.

My 2005 FX4 is slipping at take-off! Any advice/suggestions??
86k with a flush at the dealer at 54k
EDIT: Further testing shows its slipping everywhere. If I get it up to speed it seems to slip in all gears, even with OD off.
NO grinding or weird noises. It can engage....but doesn't really want to.
EDIT2: rebuilt in under 48 hours! $1723.13 OTD
