Can anyone identify this transmission part ?

Auto : Ford 2002 Expedition with 4r70w transmission

Symptoms : shuddering, slipping, TCC Error code thrown

When I removed the trans filter, the part below dropped out of the transmission.
It's about 1 1/2 in long, wide area is partially hollow and has a gasket around it, and the stem area is solid. It does not appear in any diagrams I've found online and no apparent place it goes from visual inspection.

Sorry it's kind of blurry.

Any help identifying this part & where it goes would be greatly appreciated !

its plug that from the factory is in the dipstick tube hole, then on the assembly line when they put the dipstick tube in they push it through down into the pan. all the trucks have it, if its not in there someone changed the oil and took it out, if its in there, the oil has never been changed by dropping the pan....
