i have a 96 150 i did a trans swap i got the new trans out of a 97 250 same motor as my truck exact same trans but,

the over drive light is blinking as soon as it shifts out of first and also it will not shift into overdrive any ideas ??

 

Take it to a shop that has an OBD2 scanner that can read Ford transmission codes and get them read.

Are all the connectors for all the sensors and electronics exactly the same?

 

yes they are all the same i even used the harness off the other truck

 

You need the codes.
