I need to change the trans fluid in my 02 F-150 this weekend. I've done this before but it was years ago and I can't remember how much I used. How much fluid should I buy if I'm going to drop the pan and drain the converter? I have a 4.6 with an auto and no aux trans cooler, just the cooler built into the radiator.

Also, I think I used Valvoline Mercon V last time. Is this the right fluid?

Is there any reason to buy the Motorcraft filter from Ford rather than a NAPA filter? Ford is 2x the price.

Yes, I'm one of the lucky ones. I really hate that they got rid of this feature.
