2004 4r75e for 2000 4r70w

2000 trans campatibility
The day has finally come where my 235,000 mile 4r70w has given up the ghost. I am thinking to swap in a freshly rebuilt 4r75e from a 2004 f150. They are both 4wd. I know that the OSS count is different (can be changed via sct) and the epc solenoid will have to be compatible with mine as well. I believe that I am going to need the plug for the oss sensor as well. Anything else that I may run into as well? Input or out put shafts different? I am starting to pull it out today.

I am now looking at 2003 model trans right now as well. They show 2 different part numbers for 2 different trans for 2003 5.4 4x4's. One is 1L3P-JA and the other is 2L1P-FA. What is the difference between the 2?
Is the 2003 4r70 and the 2000 4r70 plug and play except for the oss count?
I need this truck back on the road because I will be taking off for work soon.

I don't have the answers you seek. However, I do have a 2000 F150 that will not go forward any longer.
What I have ran into is that since my truck is the 5.4 and the 4x4, the only direct swap will have to come from a 00 to 03 with the same specs, or have it rebuilt for what the truck is currently worth.
So i'm looking for something that will make more financial sense.
Mine isn't a daily driver really. However I would like to make it reliable again.
With that, here is my subscription to this thread.

What I understand direct swap for us is 99-00 and some 01-04's. Some had a different tailshaft from what I've been told

It can be found in 04-08 5.4 F150's. To make it work you need the pig tail for the OSS sensor. It's the one on drivers side near the tail shaft of the trans. You will then need to drop the valve body and replace the epc solenoid for one from a 98-03 trans (just get a new one). The OSS count will need to be corrected via SCT from 6-24 counts. The will also need to swap the internal wiring harness from your trans to the 4r75e. It's actually pretty easy. you may be able to use the wiring harness inside the 4r75e but I was unsure of the pin outs and it was easier for me to just swap the harness.

My biggest issue would be not having a SCT. I've been Tryin to diagnose my transmission, cause now it this colder weather it seems almost fixed then when it warms up outside it goes back to problematic. I'm
Almost wanting to think it may be a valvebody issue. I was told most recently possibly electrical/TCM, but I wouldn't think those would slowly worsen over time or be temperature dependent. So I'm gonna drop my pan again and look for metal. If it's clean I'm Gonna consider buying a new VB. If it's got metal, I'm
Gonna start looking for a teams again. Thing is I really can't afford one so I'm hoping for the VB
