2005 4.6 tranny issues

okay first off let me say im a moron.

secondly, i have an 05 f-150 with the 4.6.

The issues:
~Put in drive and its hesitant before it engages. no noises or smells, just takes a second to go into gear.
~shifting from 1st to 2nd, it doesnt want to, it gets to about 2k rpms, where it usually shifts, and seems to die down. RPM's climb to 3500 and then it will shift.

Yesterday i had some friends over shooting. One of my friends gf's said she had never done a doughnut. Well me being a showoff i told her to jump in. went and spun around a couple times. drove it that evening and it was normal. This morning the issues start.

I am only 18. I own this truck. its my baby. I do use it, pull trailers and what not. Its NEVER BEEN ABUSED, other then a doughnut or so ='(.

Tranny was serviced at 100k, its at 130 now.

Has it ever slipped on you before? Mine acted the same way as yours and $2000 later I was back on the road (after a NASTY clunk sound which was my tranny going out). Was it shifting up/down normally? Chances are it was probably on it's way out before you did the donuts. Don't kick yourself too hard because a donut or 2 didn't kill your tranny. What do you normally Tow with it? Do you turn OD Off when you tow something heavy?

I have towed some heavy loads, 20' steel horse trailer with two full grown horses. A flat bed trailer with a truck onece and a car once. Other then that i pull an enclosed 18' all the time, twice a week or so.

I usually didnt turn off the OD untless it started searching for gears.

And yes the tranny has always been 100%. I feel like i can have this one fixed for less then a new one. I dont think its toast.
