I have a 94 f150 xlt 4x4 extended cab and my problem is when I drive my truck for 15 mins or so and come to a stop at the lights and then go, the transmission hesitates to shift out of second but it does but with a jolt. The tranny fluid does not smell burnt and had a neighbor mechanic look at it and appeared fine


I was wondering can this be a computer problem cause also my airbag lights blink and when I bought the truck the previous owner by passed the horn on the steering and set up a make shift button just underneath the dash for the horn and that does not work anyways more concerned about the transmission

I know its older , but was using this as a work truck
the motor has 260 000 km
351 motor or 5. something

I had the exact same problem. I probed the forums and found many people had similar problems but not the same one. I have a 94' F150 351 5.8L with and E4OD 4x4. I replace the Neutral selector switch, TPS, and Speed Sensor (had a code for it). Didn't fix the problem. Strange that I had a code for the speed sensor even after replacing. After some more research, I determined that the speed sensor was sending info to the PSOM witch was allowing my speedometer to work (mostly) right (little jump). However the PSOM wasn't sending to the Computer witch also controls the shifting on the E4OD. I replaced the cluster instead of the PSOM, because that is easier. The shifting Problem stopped. Oh and my Milage went from 230k to 160k, lol. Good Luck
