um yeah all that stuff might have added 40hp if that. When i have a CHEVY camaro that makes close to 500hp and the tranny is stock and still holding with 75000 miles. i wouldnt be pissed if it had alot more miles or if i ragged on it alot.

Thats ford for you

My friend has an 05 f150 thats stock and has gone through 3 transmissions at 86k miles. Being in vegas might have a lot to do with it, except he drives like a grandma!

Sucks on the transmission but i would have put an upgraded race tranny in there

How are your driving habits and settings on the edge?

like a grandma until some ricer wants to be a badass on the highway.

edge always on extreme with more timing .75+ and 1.8% on the fuel. i dont do any tranny adjustments.

Mine been running with edge for 20,000 miles now and usually on 12,12,8 even went as high as 16, 14, 8 but backed it off to a more comfortable 8, 8, 5

Tranny fluid is clear and hasnt been exchanged yet, no particles and i run her hard at least once every day. I just swapped out for the gryphon and it kicks a lot harder when it downshifts, how much damage im causing, if any, who knows.

Hope you get it sorted out at the dealer for a free replacement, but i doubt that will happen. Good luck!

So when racing these "ricers" on the highway I assume you're WOT shifting into overdrive. Am I correct in assuming this?

I doubt he's WOT into overdrive - the truck will run out of steam in 3rd before it even gets to OD, even with the speed limiter removed. With 3.55's and 30" tires, the 3-4 WOT shift point would be around 125 mph.
