Question myboomerangwontcomeback

i have a1991 f-150 top loader 5 speed while traveling down the road the clutch pedal hit the floor and the truck shut off. now with the shift lever in neutral it wont start and feels like its in gear

Clever title. Check your slave cylinder and transmission fluid. Possibly even linkage problems but I am not really sure. Just a shot in the dark.

I just remembered the switch on the clutch, It is up under the dash just above the clutch, it is made so that the truck will not start without the clutch engaged whether you are in neutral or not. I have mine bypassed but a new switch should not be very much.

we bypassed my buddys acura, it did the same thing. we put a push button on it only thing is you dont have to mash the clutch, and it will launch if its in gear and no cluch

I bypassed mine all together, just connected the wires and taped em up.
I always put the clutch in when I go to start my truck so it doesn't matter to me.

I know my ranger likes to drop the cylinder off the stud on the pedal once in a while, has a broken plastic clip. could that be the reason yours dropped to the floor?
