Throttle Converter Clutch????

I have a 1998 Ford F150 I got a P0743 code when i went to Autozone. I want to change the solenoid myself. Can anyone tell me where the solenoid is located? Is it in the transmission pan??? I heard some are outside of the transmission and most are in. Thanks

All solenoids are inside the pan. Some sensors are outside the trans, but all solenoids are inside.

Something to consider - there is no code that says replace the solenoid. That code means there is an electrical problem with the torque converter clutch circuit. It could be the wiring or the solenoid. Just don't be too surprised if you change the solenoid and still have the same problem. It may be an open or short in the wiring between the PCM and the solenoid.
