My light on the OD was flashing and it wouldshift real hard going from 2nd to 1st. So took it to the shop and it had the code 781. He proceeded in replacing the solenoid pack, he took it for a drive with problems. I picked it up and the light started flashing agin with same code and same shift problems. Anybody have any ideas?

 

I just expierenced the same issue. I learned here that a blinking light is comparible to the "Check engine" light. Its puts the trannsmission into "limp" mode to get you to the shop. I ended up having metal in my pan that was indictive to future failer = rebuild time. I had only 75,000 miles of light weight pulling /driving. the transmission guy said it was unheard of for these F-150 trans. to go that quick.
