Transmission cooler missing on F150 2006

HI,
I've rebuilt a F150 2006 with 5.4L engine (had a front smash) but did not take to re-install the front transmission cooler... Could that harm the transmission ? I am only using the truck as a car, never tow anything... Thanks!

Even when just cruising around, my temps fluctuate between 150 and 165. I think at 170-180, the fluid starts to cook drastically shortening the life of the transmission. You can find bigger than stock aftermarket cooler and use that.

As long as the in-radiator cooler is connected you will be OK.

Tranny fluid is safe to 210 or so.
