Racheting sound

Have a racheting sound(only going slow) when let off gas but stops when give it gas or tap the brakes. Thinking it could it be the slip yoke needs grease. Open to all ideas/adivce. Thank you

Does it make the noise dependent with speed? If so it is probably driveshaft related (yoke, U-joints). You can accelerate up a bit and put into neutral, then coast and listen if it makes the noise. Putting brakes or giving throttle will take up the slack and the noise goes away sounds like it is driveshaft related.
