1-2 & 2-3 accumulator replacement

a thread here about tranny flush had a link for a tranny flush. I went to the link and it was a T,berd/Cougar club. Just wondering if the procedure is for a f-150 or a T'berd/Cougar. The link says to upgrade the 1-2 & 2-3 accumlators, just wondering if this is for a f-150 or a T'berd/Cougar?

the tccoa site uses the 4r70w trans if i remember correctly (came in the tbirds, cougars, liconlns) same tranny as the older furds. so same info. depending on the year of your rig, when you drop the VB, the 2-3 accum. spring and cup will fall out, the older ones were junk and almost always broke (i have an 06, and it was busted to, soit happens) but the older pistons used aluminum? i think, but the new accum. have a rubber covered ones that are 10x better, thats why they say change em. they're about $20, but worth it, if your down there, and have an older trans.

Your truck already has the updated accumulators.
