The dealer just rebuilt my trans about 10K ago. 5.4L 3v
Since its been rebuilt the vehicle rolls backwards in all gears except 2nd gear. You can be rolling backwards and put it from first to second gear and it will chirp the tires and stop immediatly. I would assume that first gear would hold the truck better on hills not second.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 

both my F-150s would roll backwards. My 07 did it with 17K on the clock and my 04 did it with 60K on the clock... I just got it rebuilt the other day and now it acutally holds when on a hill
