I have an 02 f150 V6 5 speed with over 280,000 miles its starting to get hard to get it in to gear when shifting and it grinds 3rd gear every once in a while, I have a new clutch plate pressure plate throw out bearing and slave cylinder.

Did you change the pilot bearing when you did the clutch job? Try bleeding the system.

If you are going to pull it all down to do the pilot bearing, check the rear main seal for leaks - this would be the time to change that too. You can get at it by pulling the flywheel, the oil pan doesn't have to come off.

While you have it apart try moving the input shaft like a joy stick. it should not move. If it does reshim it. Pull off the shift linkage housing and check the shift forks for wear. Make sure that they are not loose on the shift rods.
