Question Overfill problem?

I welded a 1/4" thread- o -let onto my transmission pan.Every 10K miles I drain the pan and add 4 qts of MC MerconV fluid.I usually just slide under the truck and drain it.This time I put it up on ramps.Upon checking the fluid after a 15 mile drive the dipstick read at the lower part of the cross hatch area.I added a 1/2 qt more fluid and the dipstick then read about an 1/8" above the cross hatch area.If I leave it this way is my transmission doomed?

I drained a little bit of the fluid so I could sleep better at night.

actually no damage would done we actually overfill the 4r70w/e by a quart because of the planet spinning park and getting no lube so we over fill a quart or so and the bearing stays slightly submerged an the tranny will last longer...
