4wd tranny starts to overheat and overflow

i got a 2003 f150 4x4 sport 5.4. the other day i was mudding and i look down and my engine temp is pegged on H and the temp warning light is on. i turned my truck off and got out and there was tranny fluid pouring out of the tranny. i did some research and i saw that when the tranny over heats tranny fluid pours out a vent on the top of the tranny..... does anyone know why its over heating like this!!?!?!?!?!?

low speed, lack of air flow, high engine revs, torque converter unlocked the whole time, probably turning larger then stock tires = over heated engine and trans....
