4r100 differences

i know theare differences onthe inside of a 4r100 for gas and diesel trucks but are the plugs all the same on the outside? basically my question is can i put a 4r100 from a diesel truck into my f150 that has the 4r100

No, you can't, the bolt pattern is different. It will not bolt to your engine. The electrical plugs will work, though.
