truck is a 03 reg cab 4.6, 5 speed, 4x4. im hoping over the next year or cpl years to pretty much make a toy out of her. everythgin i have in mind is pretty do-able nothing radical but i would like to get 50-100 hp more out of the 4.6 BUT then im finding out the 5 speeds really arent meant to take alot more hp or torque than stock.

Has anyone found a shop or builder that can rework a 5 speed and make them more durable ??

i thought about a tranny swap but then id run into 4x4 transfer case trouble.

thanks in advance guys. im at the piont now of either figuring this out on the tranny or trying to find a decant deal trading for a 5.4 with a auto,

 

If it were me I would lift the body 3 inches and find a ZF from a SuperDuty.
