'05 S-Cab Lariat with 70,000mi, 5.4, 3.73LS, Hypertech and running 305/35/24 wheels and I have never changed out the tranny fluid on this truck. I've been the only owner and till this day I've had no issues with it. I've been thinking about doing a full tranny service on it but why mess with it...right?

I realize this thread's a few months old but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth. I have an '04 FX4 4X4 regular cab and my tranny went at 85000 some miles. Completely lost reverse and in drive it sounded like a rock polisher. I replaced it with a reman from a very reputable rebuilder, Certified Transmissions out of Omaha. They told me that they do not see very many of these transmissions (4R75E) and they are pretty reliable. They also said that when they do go bad the rear planetary usually 'explodes' (their term). I do not pull anything with mine, but I bought it used and I think some farmer pulled the crap out of it before trading it in, the tranny never did feel just right.

My 07 is a 5.4L supercrew 4x4. It has 110k on it. I have had it since 14k miles and every day it has 1000 lbs of gear it its bed. 90% of the mileage is highway. It has towed 5000lbs or less twice. At 90k the truck started shuttering when cold at 25-50 mph at light throttle. now it is doing it when warm at light throttle at 45? mph....seems like top gear 1200 rpm... Truck is a work lease and will be gone in a week...
Other issues... Rear brakes at 14,000 (dealer), 32,000 (dealer), 48,000 (me), 65,000 (dealer / TSB for parking brake completed), 90,000 (me).... (this vehicle has the worst brakes of any vehicle I have ever had).
Left front hub and 4x4 vacuum controller at 105,000
