Thumbs up YES we have no overdrive!

Thanks for all your input, KLITCH, BLUE20004X4, HOTBOY8055, AND [MTYLERB aka HOLY SCREAMING], it was the OD band, we had an extended warranty provided by Daimler Chrysler,[go figure], Ford honored it, it cost me $100.00, [deductable] , they gave us a loaner, a 09 dodge, hlf ton 4wd, after diving it for about 700 miles, i have a real good idea why Dodge is broke! Thnks again [marty]

first thing you do is check the fluid... after that i could suspect valve body or solenoid issues with that low of mileage. even though my little mind says OD band might be toast.

Your O/D band is shot, while it's apart bieng rebuilt, why not replace alot more and do a good overhaul. Having someone do it costs south of 2 grand parts and labor, not bad.

I sold my 04 5.4 screw to my sister in the ending of 07, then recently moved to utah from hawaii and got a pretty good deal on a 04 screw again, so i thought! on may 15 my OD took a S%*$ on my wife while heading to our place. The warranty covered the damage, so they found a used tranny and when the mechanic installed that one and test drove it, it was also broke with the same OD problem, how ironic is that, anyways the mechanic from the beginning wanted to rebuild the tranny but the warranty people had other plans, and since then Iv'e been going back and forth with the warranty guy's cause this is my only transportation i have, so if anybody has this problem go with the rebuilt right away. Sorry so long...and yes i still don't have my truck!

This is our first new car, we drove a 1976 Mercury Cougar around for 30 yrs [no problems] it finally threw a rod with over half a million miles on it! We miss it! Go Ford!!! Thnks Marty.
Fixed.
