Question 4R75E factory pan capacity

How many quarts does the pan hold?

5 quarts.

I believe you have a 4R75W, not a 4R75E. Minor point, pan is the same capacity.

Its the 4R75E.

+1 I didn't think there were any differences between the two. Isn't there only one 4R75 and people just call them two different things?

4R70W (70X10= 700 Lb-Ft torque)
4R75E (75X10= 750 Lb-Ft torque)
The 4R75E has greater torque capacity.

Oh i didnt realize we were talking about the numerical difference. I thought we were just talking about the E or W. In the 4R70 there were two different gear sets E and W, and when ford upgraded it to the 4R75 there was only one gear set available. That was my understanding of it anyway, even though i could be completely wrong. lol

The difference between the 4R70 and the 4R75 is the torque rating as blueoval already stated.
