shifting to soon

I have an '05 150 4x4 that shifts improper. When you drive the truck at a normal in-town, stop and go drive, it shifts from first through over drive in a matter of a few feet . This occurs when it is cold. Once the vehicle warms to full operating temp, it shifts as it should about 95% of the time. When it is cold it works fine shifting manually. Any thoughts!!

I would say check your fluids, and if its been a while since the transmission was serviced, change the filter and put new fluids in. From what it seems, it sounds like it could be a computer, or shift sensor problem. But saying it only happens at certain temperatures kind of disagrees with my thought of such.
