4r70w driving me crazy
i've got a 95 f150 4x4 a while ago it started shifting strange. every time the motor would start.. the 2nd and only the 2nd time i would come to a complete stop it wouldn't accelerate above 5-10mph unless i manipulated the throttle usually wot than let off. now it does this regularly while driving i will have the same problem where it does not want to accelerate from a stop and when i'm driving it seems to shift itself into neutral until wot than it seems like it's lagging and after a while it will put itself in the right gear and a while later it will do the same. i've recently fixed a few vacuum problems in hopes of helping it but it didn't. i've read up on it and it says it could be the MLPS which i replaced with one that worked good on my 94 lincoln with the same trans, it also it could be a defective shift solenoid or a poor wiring connection. i plan to check as much of the wiring to the transmission as i can find but would greatly appreciate any input, i have no money for a mechanic. i love the truck but this problem is inching me towards selling it
i'm not sure i think the 4r70w is just less common b/c my manual doesn't mention it at all and most autoparts stores hand me e40d parts when i go in there telling them i've got a 4r70w
