replacing teh shifter

how tough is it to replace the shifter on my FX4 Screw 2004. It is an "on the floor" shifter and looks to be only a couple of wires, the connector rod, and a couple of screws. IS that it? also where could I find one that is fairly inexpensive?

yes, at least the top plate with teh cupholders and such. I was just curious to see if there is anything else that might be "hidden" in there that could cause a problem

used a large screwdriver and towel. In front of the console lid there is a indentation, just stick the tip in there and lift firmly. pops out like any other beauty panel

Doesnt get into very much detail about how to remove shifter other than "disconnect shifter cable"

might need to look somewhere else....
