I don't like that either.
The FX4 cluster looks a little better, and the scangauge looks a little better with it.
I considered mounting it where the ashtray is, or where the cig lighter is, but eventually I want to put switches in one, and a ham radio in the other. It works for now...

Run the wiring under your dash, up the A-pillar, under the headliner, then install your device in front of the rear view mirror.

I've seen that. Wouldn't work on mine with the current location of the rear view mirror (sits right at the top of the windshield). My sport trac mirror was so low it blocked my field of view in a sweeping right turn, lol.

Here's how mine looks...




I would go for mounting it under the stereo if I had a single din radio.

There was a thread about where to mount the Scan Gauge II. One guy had his mounted right by the OBD II port and had to look down at his feet to check it. I also like the dash, on the right hand side, where most people usually have their Edge Evolution.
