Have a 1997 F-150 4X4 has no forward movement but goes in reverse fine any suggestions

 

Start simple by checking the fluid level with the engine running and warm. Wipe the dipstick clean and reinsert it. Make sure what you think is the level has full fluid coverage below it. A LOT of people make the mistake of looking at where the topmost bit of fluid is and that often isn't right. You have to make sure there are no 'dry' spots anywhere below to have it right.
