Howdy Fellas, I put the transgo in my 01 4.6ltr 4r70w tranny today, with a pro there to help (auto hobby shop on base). Well after put fluid in it, made sure it was full...Goes into Reverse fine, but in drive it won't catch untill 3 1/2k rpm. In first it catches but feels like its in 2nd, doesnt shift at all WHAT ON EARTH, i'm so mad I leave in 3 weeks, and my truck is messed up. What could be wrong?!? I know for a fact that it whent step by step. what did I miss?!

does it go anywhere at all? you may have not remembered to line up the shift linkage and the "piston" it drives.

 

Just be careful. If it's not engaging forward gears until a high rpm it could be burning things up and that can go bad really fast.

It's time to take it apart and go through it from start to finish. And like Brandon said, make sure the linkage is in the right slot on the valve. When I get to the shop I will post up a pic of what it should look like.
