I have a chance to buy a E4OD trans from a 2001 Lincoln navigator for $200. the tranny has 28,000 miles on it. will this tranny fit my 98 F150 with a 5.4???

 

It will physically to the engine but there are several issues. both vehicles need to have the same number of drive wheels, if one is 2 wheel drive and the other is 4 wheel drive then it won't bolt up in the back. Then there is the bigger issue, if your truck didn't come with a 4R100 then you will have to change linkage, wiring harnesses and computers to make it work.

Without a whole lot more info on both vehicles it's unfortunately not easy to give accurate answers. Sorry.
