4wd shifter

Okay well about a month ago i was out ridin my dirtbike with my crew, and i was goin back thru the woods to load the bikes. Well it was real tight, and i had to climb a small stump on the uphill of a bank. Well i was goin in 2wd but i had to hit the stump at speed to get over it. I didnt want to pop a tire, so on my way back out, i went to put the truck in 4 hi. well i pulled the shifter, and it was real stiff, and i put some pressure on it, and it broke loose. the shifter wiggled aimlessly, i could only get into 4 lo so i rode home like that about 3 miles. (1995 F150 XL 300 I6 5spd.)Well after diagnosis, the shifter goes under the truck and connects to some cast aluminum contraption with rubber boots on the end of it and is bolted to a bracket on the side of the Tcase. The one bolt was rusted and wasnt allowing it to rotatewhich caused it to snap in half. I cant find one at our local scrap yards, and i'm not paying 240 for this thing, and i'm low on funds so is there anyone with a idea how to make something that works?
