200 f150 will not shift in to park
200 f150 will not shift in to park
I have read the threads for this problem and have not seen anything that answers my problem so I appologize if this is a duplication.
I cannot shift my truck in to park, it does not lock the steering column, and I have to shift into nuetral to start the truck. I can however still turn the key off and remove the key from the ignition even though it does not go in to park.
All of the other gears work fine.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction for a solution?

Problem Fixed!
After reviewing some more of the posts, I decided to take a look at the shifter tube which was a problem in alot of the other posts. The shifter tube was not cracked but one of the screw holes at the end of the tube that connects to the bracket that controls the shift cable was broken off. With only one screw holding it, the bracket wasnt getting the proper leverage to move the shift cable enought to get it in to park. Replaced the tube for $35 and all is well! Took a couple hours, and saved me a bunch of $
