tranny mad a loud bang today while it was shifting it want shift out of second and is whining while its in park and driving, i have know idea what it could be

 

well....... anyone have a idea

 

Mileage? Have you tried anything or eliminated anything yet?

My first step to anything tranny related is a fluid check, not just amount but what does it look like? how does it smell?

 

well i have over 138000 i didnt have time to do anything to it causei was on my way to work, so i took it to a tranny shop and they want get a chance to look at it tell monday.... Plus i think i might have the pressure set to high on my progammer......

 

Gee, you think this might cause something to fail?

 

Gonna say pump failure if you got the line pressure turned up that be my guess to the whining sound. Just get a VB much cheaper than tranny rebuild

well the guy from the tranny shop said the pan had metal shavings all inside so yeah this sucks
