Hard to shift into 1st from a stand still. '06 XL.
This is a 60,000 mile 4.2L XL and it takes a little more force than other sticks I've driven to put it into 1st gear from a stop. Hot or cold makes no difference. If I'm rolling at 5 mph it slides right in. Is that normal for these trucks? It's time to change the transmission fluid and was thinking of trying Redline MTL instead of the Mercon. Anyone else use that?
